I select for vigor (productivity, disease and pest resistance, yield); high cannabinoid and terpene content; and sativa traits (narrow leaves, red stems, and long nodes, with euphoric, creative and energizing effects).
This year, I have an outdoor seed plot, where I have selected one massive, 12-foot tall male to pollinate 17 lovely females. I selected the lucky male based on the high terpene (4.5%) and cannabinoid (23.5%) content of his mother, combined with his size, vigor, and physical appearance. As I narrowed down my choice between competing males, the one I selected to be the “pollen donor” stood out for his pungent stem rub odor.
Now, he’s enjoying cannabis group sex, surrounded by anxious females, offering their sweet, sticky flowers to be pollinated.
